The bonnet incorporates more character and purpose with its streamlined creases. The grill is slightly larger that its predecessor and now has a more temperamental and aggressive look. Tweaks are further extended to the front end bumper of the A8 as well as the headlight clusters. As expressed above, there will be optional headlights which incorporate Matrix LED technology which Audi state is a high beam function and uses 25 light emitting diodes per unit that can be switched on or off or dimmed individually. Slight revisions have also been made to the rear light clusters.

Audi claim that the supercharged 3.0 TFSI petrol engine now has 231KW from 216KW and the 3.0 TDI diesel produces 190KW.  The V8 twin-turbo 4.0 TFSI pushes out a whopping 320KW and the 4.2 TDI in the lineup is said to produce 283KW. The 4.0 TFSI Quattro all-wheel drive achieves a 0 – 100km/h dash in 4.5 seconds
